Our Top Five Finds From Vegan Fashion Week

Our Top Five Finds From Vegan Fashion Week

April 04, 2019

Vegan brands are popping up every day it seems. Many of them are trying to make their mark on the fashion industry. As a result, we were so excited to be invited to the first-ever Vegan Fashion Week!

Vegan Fashion Week was staged in Los Angeles during February 2019, and it provided us the perfect backdrop to relaunch our Pinatex range of vegan watches.  Vegan Fashion Week was also attended by Moby, Mena Suvari, some famous bloggers, and media personnel, as well as some of the cutest four-legged friends you’ll ever meet!

While looking at some of the awesome brands that attended, we found five that we would consider our top 5 personal faves!

1. SVALA

Svala is a brand that creates the most beautiful luxury vegan handbags. This company designs and handcrafts everything in Los Angeles using sustainable materials. These materials are sourced from Europe, including our favorite - Pinatex! With such a wide range of purses, clutches, totes, and backpacks, the hardest part is deciding which one to add to your collection!

2. MANAVAI

Based in Chile, Manavai produces the most gorgeous range of vegan shoes! Using both Pinatex and recycled polyester to produce a unique look that we adore and will be bringing to our own wardrobes soon. Great for your look, and great for the environment!

3. CLED

Cled is a brand who created a stunning jewelry collection made from recycled glass bottles. Everything is handmade in LA and a portion of all of their proceeds are donated to charity. We also think that their packaging is the best we’ve seen in a long time. It is great to see companies that work hard to ensure that their products are environmentally friendly.

4. JEANE & JAX

Jeane & Jax are a Canadian based business providing a gorgeous range of affordable vegan leather handbags and accessories for both men and women. Using classic colour pallets, everything is simple, functional and stylish. With more options available, it is good to know that a company that works in fashion are also able to ensure that no animals were harmed in the process.

5. BLUE DISTRICT

Blue District designs a collection of feminine vegan fashion must-haves, such as dresses. We loved their entirely display – especially their jackets and dresses. They have a focus on sourcing sustainable materials, which helps the environment. They also produce their clothing under ethical conditions and bring everything together at an affordable price point. So it is good for the environment, the animals, and even your wallet.

The Real Star of the Show

In our minds, the real star of Vegan Fashion Week was this little guy, completely rocking the red (black) carpet in his little denim vest in collaboration with Vegan Club.
